TEUN VAN DE LAAR, PhD
VP Manufacturing & Supply Chain Management
Teun van de Laar has over 20 years’ of experience in biotechnology industry in development, scale up and manufacturing.
The last 15 years he held various roles in pharmaceutical industry in the development of biologics from pre-clinical to Phase III, validation and commercialization. As such he gained a robust experience in technical operations, QA, CMC strategy development, tech-transfers and managing third parties, incl. CDMOs. Prior to joining AM-Pharma, Teun was Vice President CMC Technical Operations at Aduro Biotech, responsible for all manufacturing and supply chain related activities for biologics and small molecules, managing teams and CDMO’s in the US and EU. From 2006 to 2016 he was with Merck (MSD) in Biotech Late Stage Process Development and Commercialization with growing responsibilities up to Drug Substance Lead for various monoclonal antibody and allergy immunotherapy programs. His early career was with Unilever and BAC, in Biotechnology Process Development, scaling up microbial manufacturing in the EU and US.
Teun holds a Master’s degree in Bioprocess Technology from Wageningen University and completed a PhD in Cell Biology at the University of Utrecht.
