AM-Pharma is a biopharmaceutical company, founded in 2002 and based in Bunnik, The Netherlands. The company is focused on the pre-clinical and clinical development of Alkaline Phosphatase to treat severe conditions where inflammation plays an important role. Our product addresses high unmet medical needs and commercially attractive markets.
The origin of our products is an endogenous protein, which is optimized to treat inflammatory conditions. Alkaline Phosphatase dephosphorylates extracellular substrates to influence disease processes.
Based on the strong results of the Phase II trials with bovine Alkaline Phosphatase in Acute Kidney Injury and a Phase II trial in severe Ulcerative Colitis, AM-Pharma will replace bovine Alkaline Phosphatase with its proprietary recombinant form of human Alkaline Phosphatase. This recombinant material will be used in future trials and for commercialization. AM-Pharma will finalize the GMP production of the recombinant AP further development of a recombinant human form of Alkaline Phosphatase through phase II.
We intend to partner our product to pharmaceutical partners who then become responsible for pivotal development and worldwide marketing and sales.
AM-Pharma currently employs a staff of 9 people who are supported by a number of highly specialized consultants. We out-source the actual conduct of all non-core knowledge intensive development work to specialist third party organizations.
